I am not sure how we came to call my Grandmother Mimi. I expect there was a mysterious moment when we tried to say Grandma or Grammy and it came out Mimi, but it stuck and all 7 grandchildren called her Mimi until she passed away at the age of 105. My best friend is nicknamed Mimi too, so you can see how I came up with this saying, everywhere I turn the people I love are called Mimi.
