NEW STYLE PLAQUES

We are  extremely proud to announce a new style of plaque! 6744R.jpg

As you can see it is a new shape and color. But the most exciting part is that it stands on its own just by using the built in copper stand.  We have been asked for a style that is “guy friendly” and our testing has proved that this new style fits the bill. The price is the same, the size is close to our oval plaques. The new rectangles have a bit more heft, and the informal, natural color is a real hit. As with all our plaques, we will happily exchange old sayings for new ones ANYTIME.

Mountaine Meadows has 31 new sayings, in the oval style.

Knit Happens at Mountain Meadows Pottery

I don’t know how it happens. The holidays come and go and suddenly it is winter! The world is frozen solid and it is not too much fun to fight the elements out there in in the cold cruel world. So we “put our socks to the fire” and knit. We call it yoga for the hands.

I’ve been working on a sweater for my son for the last year. It seemed like every time I got enough made for him to try on, it was too small. So I would rip it out and start over.  This winter I AM GOING TO FINISH it! With my luck he will get a job someplace in the tropics and all my work will be obsolete!

Humor and Love – Trump – Fear and Anxiety

Ah, now the big holidays are over and we are facing a New Year! It looks like it could be a challenging one.

Mountaine Meadows has many new and vintage sayings that speak words of encouragement to the people we love who need a boost. One of my favorites is one we call our “bounce” plaque.

There are others too. Franklin Roosevelt is being quoted a great deal lately, but many people think Eleanor was a powerful influence on the thoughts of the day. One of her most popular sayings was “A woman is like a teabag, you never know how strong she is until she is in hot water”.

Mountain Meadows has several other Eleanor Roosevelt sayings in our quotes category.
But let’s not forget the way we support each other with words of love.  We have a wonderful brand new saying about marriage. It is perfect for Valentines Day, which by the way, is just around the corner!
